- 1927 Born in Orange City, Iowa, US.
- 1950 Studied in University of Iowa.
- 1954 Graduate from Medical School, married to Lucy
- 1958 Received a letter from Dr. Clarence Holleman, the superintendent of Mackay Hospital, and contacted Dr. Holleman.
- 1959: arrived in Taiwan with the whole family and took over the position as Superintendent of Mackay Memorial Hospital.

1979: Took over the position as Superintendent of Chang Gung Memorial Hospital.
- 1989: donated funds to establish Noordhoff Craniofacial Foundation.
- awarded with Maliniac Award, the most prestigious award in the field of plastic surgery in the world.
- awarded with the 6th Medical Dedication Award.
- 1999: awarded with the Order of the Brilliant Star with Violet Grand Cordon by the President Office of R.O.C.
- 1999: retired and returned to the US.
