In order to expand the Chinese opera art roots, campus promotion has always been a major point for GuoGuang Opera Company.Based on the theme of the Company “extending traditional operas and promoting art education,” and pinpoints the promotion goal for the 9-year constant art and humanism learning area of the Ministry of Education, the Company has undertaking a series of opera art education activities promotion plans.Especially, in recent years, it held “field trip—art expressway” by carefully selecting operas that are suitable for students to watch.And by lively and interesting way of performance to introduce operas, the Company gets rid of the stereo types of traditional Chinese opera with easy-to-understand explanations and demonstrations that are deeply fond by students.In recent years, there have been 25 thousand students participated and received warm feedback.It is hoped that students may access somehow the beauty of the Chinese opera.In addition, the Company has published a series art education materials to provide the educators of opera art in use for aid, and then to extend as the abundant resources for life-long study.
Through demonstrations and explanations, students may deeply understand the beauty of Chinese opera art.

Promotion Study Activities of Opera Art Education
In order to promote opera and to cultivate and train Chinese opera seeds teachers, GuoGuang Opera Company especially held “Clapping Table to Say Fantastic to Chinese Opera—Opera Art Education Promotion Study Activity.”The subjects to participate are teachers of middle schools and elementary schools and opera-lovers nationwide.Each workshop gathered many scholars, actors/actresses, directors, and musicians involved, fully employed and developed rich opera resources and professional talents.Via topic speeches, and famous actors personally conducting vocal performance and movement demonstrations, the workshop is an opera feast of both theory and practice.Through workshop, the program wishes teachers back to school blending Chinese opera art into the course design, and developing teaching materials to let more students acquire more understanding of the performing art of Chinese opera.
Developing Community Theater Form－GuoGuang Opera Theater
GuoGuang Opera Theater provides mass a place to appreciate Chinese opera.
President Chen expresses that audience loved Chinese opera have reacted to the Company many times that it is more difficult to watch Chinese opera performance.They felt it’s a pity.The reason of decrease of the opportunities was due to the shrinking of the place and the cutoff of the three military opera companies of the Ministry of National Defense.Therefore, the Company launched “Guoguang Opera Theater” in the afternoon of weekends to let the audience have a place to watch the opera.Ever since its opening in 1996, every afternoon of each weekend, in the GuoGuang Art School Performing Center, it launched various performance activities, and the audience has been increased annually, which became regular activity for the faithful fans to call one another in weekends.President Chen stresses again and again, to let everybody watch Chinese opera and to watch the best, besides launching good operas, they were especially arranged for those who are in love of Chinese opera.

In order to strengthen the interaction with community and expand the audience base, the Company wishes to establish interest and attention of the community public to art.The Company walked through every corner, from national theater palace in urban to booth-like stage in front of a local temple in far-away areas.By touring performance everywhere, the Company not only let the public may watch and appreciate the opera in a near distance, but also may further understand the beauty of the art.Besides periodical performance, the Company also attends various festival and artistic activities performances, touring cultural center and gathering places everywhere.In recent years, the Company has made friends by opera, gladly saw more young opera population joined the camp of Chinese opera.The art of Chinese opera may spread its seeds, and gradually got its roots deeply and strongly; and the culture heritage emerges new hope as well!
