Handsome make-up (young man face and lady face) is the beautified make-up in the Chinese opera, also called rouge make-up. By using rouge to spread softly on the face, it represents the righteousness and clarity of the face of the character in the opera. Sticking small biehs is to put small pieces of wig onto the two sides of face to modify the facial type. Le-Tou is by using strip to hang up the eye corner to let it be felt spirited. Ran-Kou means beard, primarily used to describe age or character of the role. According to the professor, paints used to paint the face are normally called “oily paints.” Paints used for handsome faces are called “oily rouge;” and white part called “oily blanc.” They can all be purchased in the cosmetics shops. The length of time for make-up depends on the familiarity of actors. Normally speaking, it takes about some 10 minutes to accomplish the make-up. Procedures of Facial Make-up

STEP 1:
by using powder stick and whitish-oily ink to mix the two properly and to spread on the face evenly.

 

 

 

 

 

 

STEP 2:
Mix the reddish and whitish ink together to paint the shape on the surroundings of the eyes(at this time, face is still oily).

 

 

 

 

 

 

STEP 3:
Using powdered powder to evenly and gently put on the face.

 

 

 

 

 

 

STEP 4:
Modify the surroundings of the eyes.

 

 

 

 

 

 

STEP 5:
Prepare to wrap the towel.

 

 

 

 

 

 

STEP 6:
