The so-called classic Chinese operas have to inherited traditional thoughts, and to innovate with new thoughts in order to attract vast audience.President Chen indicated that not only the actors needed to be cultivated, but the audience as well.The Company launched old operas, or even new ones, should be based on the vocal tones and gestures of the traditional Chinese opera performing forms, and then to add viewpoints of new generation.It cannot only attract original Chinese opera audience, but has to produce operas that are cope with time trends to attract more people to watch it.We are going to introduce several good operas launched by the Company in recent years as follow:

◎Traditional story opera“The Empire Bids Farewell to His Favorite Concubine”

■Characteristics of the Opera
Performance of the actors, playing of the music, costume and properties, stage setting, and vocal and lyrics are fully represented the dramatic aestheticism of Chinese opera tradition.
■Story
Fighting between Chu and Han, Liu Bang asked Han Xin to hide closely behind the Jiu Li Mountain, the Chu Empire Xiang-U was stocked under Gai-Xia with Chu local music played surrounded him and his soldiers with sorrow and helplessness.His concubine, U-Ji knew the tide was gone, forced herself to dance and with wine and feast to comfort Xiang-U.When the Han soldiers fight from all directions, U-Ji was afraid to drag Xiang-U, and then killed herself with sword.

◎literature Adoption Opera: ”Golden Lock”

■Characteristics of the Opera
The director boldly designs the interplay of the real and the abstract and the storyboard method used in the film, and the combination of opera gestures and body language and the realistic movements to represent the opera.It is fantastic everywhere, and fully developed the feature of modern theater.This led to the perfect combination of both the splendid and sad imagery of Ai-Ling Chang and the art of traditional Chinese opera.
■Story

■Story
It narrates when Taiwan was split to Japan, many local gentlemen, in order to flatter Japanese government, oppressed good civil people.Life of ordinary people was in hardship. The Taiwan-stationed Japanese governor Song-Ping Jian-Zhe adopted high pressure policy.Tian-Ding Liao from Taichung to Taipei, for the sake of living, became robbery that stole local gentlemen.One day, he met A-Uan, his youth companion, unexpectedly, and realized that she was the most famous art star U-Ie in DaDouCheng, and was kept by Gong-Chi Jun-Xiu.Japanese government ordered people to plant tea in a mass, and sold only by Japanese.Tea peasant Huo-Uang Chen complained to local gentleman Iao-Zu Lin.Tian-Ding, on his way of stealing, put the pocket watch of Lin to the bamboo basket of Chen’s.Later, it was found out by Lin, and Chen was considered thief and was killed by the police unfortunately.Tian-Ding felt uneven for Chen and killed Lin, and changed his costume and makeup to join the gentlemen group and killed Song-Ping Jian-Zhe.And U-Ie also killed police with her hair pin to help Tian-Ding escape.When Gong-Chi Jun-Xiusurprisingly knew that U-Ie betrayed him, he decided to take revenge.After Tian-Ding Liao was arrested, he with U-Ie, the two finally uttered their determination to face death.

■Story
The plot is that Feng the third Lady was trapped in the mountain, white fox transformed as a male to rescue her.And she fell in love with him.Due to his former life was a female, and her love with a wood-chopped man was unforgiving to the secular world as man and animal-fairy, White fox could not make up his mind.He finally decided to reveal fox fairy form to frighten the third Lady to break up.The third Lady later in her next life became Ie-Na.Ie-Na did not remember her former life, unconsciously she was brought up by a group of fairy monsters.In her 18-year-old, she met her parents unexpectedly and went home.But she was unsatisfied her father’s arrangement of marriage and robbed back by the fairy monsters.When Ie-Na was old, she left silently, and unconsciously went to the mountain that the third Lady once lived, with white fox that she loved in her former life to accompany her to the end of her life.

◎Children’s story opera: ”Plot in the Scheme of the Three Kingdom”

■Story

◎Mythical Musical Opera: “Altair α Lyrae Sirius”

■Characteristics of the Opera
Deeply undermined the feelings of the inner world of the character, with strong staging and beautiful vocal and music blending western and oriental, plus excellent performance of the actors, it is a wonderful and rare newly adopted musical Chinese opera.
■Story
The love story aims at a cowboy and a weaving girl, and especially adds Sirius as the center figure in this tri-love story.The sub-plot includes the failed love story of the elder sister and elder cowboy, and the love line of the bird girl desperately loved Sirius.By the portrayed personality of lusty, bad under-table sense of obsession of the Sirius, the opera creates strong dramatic tension.“Altair α Lyrae Sirius” opera lays out three different space of heaven, earth, and the Eden, myth-like, by an unfinished ever-present tense to represent all the possible faces of love.
